This course trains divers in the knowledge and skills needed to manage risks and effectively handle limited in-water problems and diving emergencies. Self-rescue and "buddy" rescue are key areas of focus during this course. Astoria also offers Advanced Rescue Diver for $825. Advanced Rescue Diver includes First Aid for Professionals class. Skills worth having whether you're managing Pacific Northwest currents or diving open water anywhere else.

Once you are 15 years of age and a certified scuba diver, you can expand your diving knowledge with a NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver or NAUI Advanced Rescue Scuba Diver course. Learn how to manage risks and effectively handle limited in-water problems and diving emergencies, how to assist and transport divers, and how to perform surface rescues and rescues from depth involving both boat and shore based skin and scuba divers.

CPR and First Aid certifications are required to complete this course. Advanced Rescue Scuba Diver training moves you on your pathway to becoming a NAUI Leader as a Skin Diving Instructor, Assistant Instructor, Divemaster, or Instructor.
